Instructor: Anna Bendiksen

Anna is a parishioner at the Parish of St. Catherine of Siena in Trumbull. 
 
She originally trained as a scholar of Russian literature at Bryn Mawr College (A.B. in Russian 1991) and Yale University (M.A., M.Phil. in Slavic Languages and literatures 2001). 

She went to school at Teachers College Columbia University and received a certificate in teaching English to speakers of other languages (2019). She was an ESL instructor at Sacred Heart University and she also writes sacred music (www.annabendiksen.com). 
 
She finds great joy in serving her brothers and sisters in the Church through high-quality ESL instruction that reflects our Catholic faith. Her teaching philosophy springs from Catholic teaching concerning the dignity of the human person, including the teaching that education is a basic human right.
