A Message to Every Parishioner:

Your offertory support at this time is CRITICAL We ask you to support your parish during this unprecedented time. The COVID-19 pandemic has posed many challenges to our parish, including offertory funds lost due to the suspension of Mass. This has a significant impact on parish operations. Your offertory gifts support parish staff, community outreach, various in-parish ministries, maintenance, and other components of parish life. It is critical to your parish’s ongoing vitality. Please prayerfully embrace this opportunity to be an active pillar of our community by giving generously to the Saint Charles Operating Fund. You can use the donation tool on this webpage:

Guidelines for the Restoration

of Public Worship

St. Charles Church is open for public Masses subject to CDC guidelines, and CT State requirements.  While our normal Mass schedule has resumed, our seating capacity is limited.  At this time, we can accommodate up to 300 unrelated individuals per Mass.

Some practical points:

  • Sunday Mass will be live streamed at 8:45 AM (Spanish), 10:45 AM (Portuguese), 8:45 AM (English), 5:00 PM (Haitian) and are available to view any time after.
  • Please arrive in ample time prior to Mass (we recommend at least 20 minutes).
  • Please wear a face-covering when attending Mass or visiting the church.
  • Physical distancing (6-foot distance) is still the norm. We ask that you maintain physical distancing not only when seated, but when arriving and leaving  the church and in the Communion line.
  • Please refrain from any physical contact, including at the Sign of Peace.
  • Elderly, vulnerable, medically at risk, and otherwise concerned persons are encouraged to remain home and participate in Mass through our livestream options.
  • We ask that if you have been away in a state which is on the self-quarantine list (viewable at https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/travel), that you please help us keep everyone safe by participating in Mass online for the 14-day period after you return.
  • Anyone who has even the slightest symptoms or feelings of sickness must remain home.
